The Knowledge Repository serves as a centralized platform for accessing key resources developed under the project “Disaster Resilience Management through Climate Risk Informed Programming with Systemic Change.” It brings together core project documents from all participating districts, including Bahraich, Begusarai, and Virudhunagar, along with global frameworks and reference materials on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). It also includes a curated photo gallery showcasing significant project milestones and events. This repository is designed to foster knowledge sharing, collaborative learning, and climate‑resilient planning. By consolidating local experiences with global best practices, it supports communities, institutions, and stakeholders in strengthening disaster resilience and driving systemic change.
Explore Resources →The EcoDRR project is implemented across three Aspirational Districts identified by NITI Aayog: Bahraich (Uttar Pradesh), Begusarai (Bihar), and Virudhunagar (Tamil Nadu). These districts, among the most socio‑economically challenged in their respective states, are highly vulnerable to climate‑induced hazards such as recurrent flooding, droughts, heatwaves, and groundwater stress. These risks continue to disrupt lives, livelihoods, and essential services, underscoring the need for integrated resilience strategies. Through an Ecosystem‑based Disaster Risk Reduction (Eco‑DRR) approach, the project embeds climate resilience into local development planning to address multi‑hazard risks. Interventions are currently being implemented across 75 Gram Panchayats in five blocks, with a focus on strengthening community capacities and advancing sustainable, nature‑based solutions that protect ecosystems while safeguarding development gains.
